Peniche Surf Camp

Beware. Unsafe. Dangerous. We booked a private lesson months in advance of our trip and hired a private driver to take us to the surf lesson. They took our money then told us that they didn't have my son on the reservation list. They asked us to come back later (we couldn't because of our private driver's schedule). Then they placed our son in a group surf lesson which was awful and too basic for his level. Then they proceeded to leave him behind at the beach. The class ended and they left him. We had to go and find our son at the beach, find a place to drop off his board and walk back to the office. Then we proceeded to deal with Joanna and the manager who wouldn't refund our money. We traveled from the US for a surfing experience and only got a lesson in the WORST services and staff in Portugal. They left our 16 year old (who doesn't speak Portuguese) behind in the ocean and they fought us on getting a refund. Save yourself the headache and go to Blue Ocean at the Ericeira World Surf Reserve in Ribeira D' Ilhas for a much safer and more professional experience. Peniche Surf School is UNSAFE & DANGEROUS.
