While all the pet stores in Coimbra are perfectly great with welcoming and helpful people (all kindly working through the ability to speak more or less English), this pet store really stands out.Covering 3 spaces (store fronts) along a fairly busy street with very narrow sidewalks (if you are bringing your dog with you this is important —and encouraged!) the main door is open for you and your critter friend. The owner is beyond charming, funny, welcoming and seems simply to love all animals whatever. You more than likely will get some kind of free treat… every time you go. He says they deliver (large bags of dog food, for example).This place has fish and rabbits and hamsters as well (the fish tanks are everywhere —he says he has 200 of the) but I don’t go into the space with the rabbits etc. presumably that space is what my dog is most interested in, other than the tasty pig ears that she knows I’m going to buy for her there.Highly recommended and a joy every time. It has become my regular.
