Moinho de Maré das Doze Pedras

If you're in the area it might be worth a visit. There isn't any signage. This mill was built in 1778. It was a mill for grain and of course flour was stored here. It's a rare example of the use of tidal energy to move its millstones. There is one mill stone inside. It is partly covered by stones in the floor. The roof was recently replaced, but roof tiles are already falling off. It needs work but any work done would be worth it. This is a very unique place! It's worth preservation.
