Painel de Arte Urbana

In 1988 European Year of the Environment Visual art teachers José Figueiredo and João Sá from Almeida Garret Secondary School promoted a contest that was won by a student who designed this magnificent panel in tiles and surrounded by a lake. From the top of the panel about 8 meters long and 3 meters high water gushes into a lake. This subject was never advertised by the municipality and it is extremely difficult to find the name of the student who won the competition. The competition is inserted in the project my neighborhood- my street. A well -treated monument in a pleasant park but with the carelessness of enhancing its author and history of the contest and the project.
