Hotel MH Peniche

The staff is friendly, the rooms big, quiet and cozy, the breakfast buffet offers a big variety BUT..... We came to this hotel already several times with the aim to disconnect, relax and use the spa. We live only 1 hour away on a farm and give ourselves a treat once a month's in a hotel. Unfortunately this time we didn't have the best experience. There seems to be a sewage problem. The spa and the rooms smelled like sewage. At arrival we changed the room because it was unbearable. But also in the second room, there was this bad odor.About the spa, the sauna is only 40 degrees Celsius. Usually a sauna is around 80 degrees Celsius. We asked the staff but they explained that this is normal. The steam bath smelled like sewage, the jacuzzi was just a little warm but not hot.Unfortunately after this experience we don't want to come back and will look for another hotel.
