Rodrigo from Kauai is a local shaper my neighboor recommended me and I need to say that I was more than happy with his work. Rodrigo always replies as fast as he can so we appointed meet same day as I found out about it.At the meeting we discussed about my surfing style, current conditions, forecast and previous board. This allowed us to pick a perfect sollution for me to step up my skills in the future. Also he guided me with all crucial info about surfboard paremeters that can be change to suit my aims. He guided me up from overall size and volume up to the possible tails that he can attach. You can also choose what finboxes you want if you already have some!Kauai takes a small prepay comission but you should not be worried about that because he is an honest guy. The whole process of making a board took 3 weeks. Very fast taking under consideration that i ordered it at high season.After that time the board came and I was suprised how well it fitted the description of how it will work. Rodrigo's words about it at our meet 3 weeks before were exactly on point.After over a week i can already feel that I am progressing in very nice pace. As it comes to Rodrigo himself a guy is a total legend in Ericeira. Been surfing here for 30 years now so he will always help you out with his experience about surfboards and spots.I strongly advise anyone who wants a well fitted board to visit him. I believe that whenever you visit a new surfspot like eg. Ericeira you should always support the locals. They are the ones sharing spots and much often put in difficult position because of popularisation of surfing. I believe that buying such board is the best way help those guys out.Kauai's prices are also very good considering how pricy new surboards are nowadays.All in all, thanks a lot. I already started to save up money for a new board :)
