Urban Suites

Bedbugs and lying crooks summarizes my and my girlfriends very brief stay att Urban suites in Aveiro. We arrived around 11 in the evening. After getting ready for bed we noticed a bug on the wall behind the bed (see photo). No question, it was a bedbug. We also saw numerous black dots on the bed linen (indicating bedbug feces). Sadly, we had not been reading the Google reviews beforehand, as we now see that several others has had similar experiences. We tried to call the two telephone numbers provided by Urban suites, but no answer. Refusing to sleep in the room, we went out and checked in at another hotel in the middle of the night (Hotel Aveiro center❤). When we texted Urban suites in the morning and they actually answered us, they started denying any bedbugs (saying they checked the room and didn't see any bugs), they denied that we had called (although we obviously have proof of that). We asked for a refund, but of course they rejected us and implied that we were making everything up and lying. So in short, nasty rooms and unpleasant staff. The location is acceptable I guess. Would not recommend.
